Dr. Riedl completed his medical education and postgraduate training in diagnostic radiology in Vienna, Austria, where he also earned a Ph.D. in medical sciences and served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Vienna. 

His pursuit of excellence led him to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he underwent advanced fellowship training in nuclear medicine and breast imaging. He later joined the institution’s faculty, contributing for six years as an Assistant Professor with a research focus on PET/CT imaging and oncologic diagnostics. Over the course of his career, Dr. Riedl has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, earning recognition as a top researcher in nuclear radiology.

Dr. Riedl, a second-generation radiologist inspired by his father’s clinical legacy, blends a deep commitment to medical excellence with a forward-looking focus on innovation and education. Following his tenure at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he chose to expand access to high-quality care by serving communities beyond Manhattan’s premier institutions. He began working part-time at Queens Hospital Center as a radiologist specializing in breast cancer diagnosis and also established a private PET/CT clinic, ImagingWest, in Hawthorne, New York. 

At ImagingWest, he focuses on cancer diagnostics as well as the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia—an area of growing importance as emerging treatments for Alzheimer’s make timely diagnosis critical to preserving cognitive health and delaying disease progression.
